John and Bob Gaw with their combined experience of over 50 years have partnered together to form Gaw Venture Group, LLC, a dream they wished their Father could have participated in. John and Bob’s Father Robert J. Gaw was one of the founding partners of the Ryland Group which later became the publicly held company known as Ryland Homes. John and Bob have been in the Homebuilding Industry building single family and multi family residential homes in MD, DC, VA, PA and DE. John’s wife Jane is part of the local family business along with John’s son Griffin learning the craft from his Dad and Uncle.


We love building homes that are well-crafted, well thought out and sustainable. Homes we can imagine living in ourselves, a home that can be enjoyed for generations. We’ve been building homes for other companies, small, medium and large private homebuilders, large national production builders and small custom builders alike. We have been fortunate to see the best and worst building practices in the industry and use that knowledge to produce an extraordinary home we can be proud of.

In knowing that we were 'part-timer's', GVG came out and addressed the issue on the weekend, so as not to inconvenience us, in all of fifteen minutes!   Since we weren't the original owners, GVG had no real responsibility to us for the repairs to our home, so I feel that they went above and beyond in customer service!
